While driving down the road, my vehicle will completely shut off and shut down. Sometimes, emphasis on the sometimes, I can push my key into the ignition a bit more and it will start back up. I lose all function and control of my vehicle. My dash lights and exterior lights completely shut off. I can't steer my car and it comes to a complete stop within seconds because everything locks up. I have had this happen more times than I can even count. It has happened in the middle of me turning at an intersection and has almost caused a collision. I took it in for a diagnosis and was told that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle and they didn't know why it was doing that. There is absolutely no warning for when this will happen. The speed that it happens at varies as there is no rhyme or reason. It happened when my care had 95,000 miles and still to this day. It happens AT LEAST 4 times a week. I have read forums where other people with the same vehicle have had this happen to also.

When I am at a complete stop and then I go to take off as I accelerate the vehicle pulls hard to the right it doesn-€™t do this every time but it pulls hard to the right and if I don-€™t catch it in time I will end up in the side of another car or in a ditch this also occurs while I-€™m already driving at speed and I got to accelerate it will pull hard to the right but then again it does not happen every time

Car randomly shut off in the middle of the road while driving, no warnings. Shut off could not steer as steering while locked up & could not brake as brake pad was hard and locked up as well. Got it to the side of road, it started right back up but shut off again not even 2 minutes later. Was able to get it off the road and started back up but puttered as all the lights flashed inside of the car. I had my kid in the car I am terrified.

My Durango stalls when I'm driving and restarts on its own. I had the fuel pump relay changed already which I had to pay out of pocket because Dodge doesn't have the replacement part. My vehicle continues to stall with out notice and am scared to drive it. I took it back to the dealership and they kept my car for a week. The car never stalled when the drove it around a few times. This car is very dangerous due to the fact that it stops at any moment and you lose complete power. At anytime you could crash without notice.

This vehicle has consistently given me problems with stalling. Year after year with this vehicle and I'm to the point to where I can barely drive it yet still have to pay payment after payment while fearing for mine and my children's safety in it. It's already had a recall fixed a few years back with something involving the fuel pump relay and that yet has to stop the stalling and the dealer can never tell me what the issue is... I can be driving 70 mph miles down the highway or 30 mph in residential and it just completely dies out on me and I lose control of power steering and all electrical goes out on dash. Sometimes I can just keep turning over ignition and it will pick right back up then other times I have to put in park and restart. I have at times, but not each time, associate the stall with hitting potholes or going over railroad tracks, bridges or anything that makes the vehicle feel a bump yet other times it does it for no reason whatsoever. I either need it to be fixed or given another vehicle of equal value. I've paid so much already and still owe 11 payments and can not afford to just purchase another vehicle. Would appreciate some help resulting in a solution to benefit me and my family's safety. The date below for 'when did it occur' is today's date as it done it today and has done so over the last 5/6 years I've had it..

This car will completely lose power randomly. It will will shut off and turn bck on all by itself or if it shuts off I can barely touch the key fob and it will turn bck on without even turning the key!! sometimes I have to put it in neutral and turn it off and back on. This vehicle is very dangerous, unpredictable, unreliable. Have taken it to few mechanics who won't even work on it cuz they can not pin point the problem. I hve taken it to dealership and they could not find anything except for a code for sirius radio subscription, really ! they even kept it over nite and it wouldn't act up for them. Please figure this out... clearly this vehicle has issues if more than one complaint is being reported. I feel like I hve a ghost car. Please figure this out. It is dangerous when my car does this on freeway. Does it going 10mph....I can be pulling into my driveway at home & put it in park and bah just turns off on it's own for me. Anytime at different speeds whenever it wants, it shuts off and comes back on all on its own. Please figure this out. This car is not worth the amount of lives that can be lost...

Steering gear box needed to be changed. Took our vehicle in for a leak coming off what looked to be a coolant line. Next thing I know we got a call that our gear box needed replaced which leads me to believe that when we took it in for a regular service recently they said we had a leak in the drive line which we fixed. The dealership looked at determined the leak I saw was a completely different problem im just reaching out to you guys to maybe look into the steering gearbox issue only because a car with 80000 miles on it should not have such a major issue. I know things go wrong on vehicles just would like to make you aware of a situation that is ongoing I have read on your site others having the same issue. To add to it the car steering seemed normal no issues I am glad they caught cause if steering were to fail that could be a bad situation.

I was driving and the vehicle completely shut off without warning. There are no lights on, on the dash and it is not giving off any codes. The vehicle has shut off three times now. The first time in January, I had just got off of the highway and began to travel again. The truck turned off when I got up to around 25-30 miles per hour. The second time in March, I had stopped and started to travel again and was going about 25 miles per hour coming up an underpass.and the third time was yesterday. I was driving up a city street going about 40 miles per hour and the truck shut off. There was no one on the side of me. It felt like there was no power steering. I was able to wrestle the steering wheel to move to the side of the road. The truck coasted and stopped. I could not press the brake!!!! each time the vehicle shut off was when I was coming off of a stop and bringing the vehicle back up to speed, except yesterday it shut off once I was up to about 40 miles per hour. The vehicle shut off, I was unable to steer the truck as if it had no power steering and I could not press the brakes. I was able to wrestle the truck over and restart it. This is a serious issue. I reported it to Dodge today and they said there are no open recalls on this issue and to take it back to the dealer. However, I searched online and there are numerous similar complaints. Something needs to be done before someone dies.

For months now, I have had to complain to my Dodge dealer where I purchased my 2013 Dodge Durango and get it serviced about how it suddenly stalls while driving. I have associated it with hitting a bump such as a pothole or going over railroad tracks and it will die out and I have to put it in park. It will then start right back up. It has happened on city streets as well as highways. No codes are showing up and battery and alternator check out fine. Cables all have a good connection and fuses are said to be good. I get told "have to wait until it gets worse" or "you'll have to leave it with us so we can drive it and wait for it to do it" but this is my only vehicle and it may do it numerous times one day and will never do it again over the next month. It's random. I have noticed there was an alternator recall on 2011-14 yr makes of the Durangos but my VIN shows mine is clear and the fuel pump relay recall has been fixed. Something is definitely not right.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. While the vehicle was undergoing a routine oil change, an independent technician informed the contact that there was a leak in the steering gear. In addition, it was suggested that the steering gear be replaced. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer informed the contact to call NHTSA to enforce the recall. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 17V572000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic) but the parts were not available. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,115. Part distribution disconnect

Upon driving the vehicle over a small bridge, including on and declining off, then over another hill the vehicle stalled and lost power. We were able to coast the vehicle to a stop. I popped the hood and it had an electrical burning smell but couldn't locate the source. I was able to restart the vehicle and proceeded to our destination. Upon returning home the vehicle seemed to have less power. Again I checked under the hood and had the same smell. I checked on this website for a recall and it said there were none for this VIN number. I checked the model year and there has been several with stalling/electrical issues. The recall numbers are as follows: 17V435000, 15V115000,14V634000. We have had this vehicle in before for recalls, unsure if these were part of those recalls. We will be contacting the dealership tomorrow. Your form wont let me select the engine and powertrain as parts affected.

Vehicle alternator started to smoke and catch on fire, after shorting itself out. Vehicle was on the road then parked in driveway. I reported it to Dodge who advised it was on recall (T36). Called Chrysler customer care to report. They set up a tow and advised that they would replace with current model alternator and if needed the PCM and battery. Dealership now stating Chrysler will not cover PCM or battery. Now I have a vehicle at the dealership that wont run with a new alternator. Chrysler care made notes when I first talked with them on this case # 32398928 from customer care. Now they will not admidt that they authorized repair of altornator, PCM, and battery.

Vehicle looses power and stalls when approaching a stop (while still in motion). I have to place vehicle in park and restart vehicle in order to continue driving. I am very concerned that this is going to cause me to be rear-ended at some point as it does happen prior to me arriving at a stop sign or stop light. This has been happening for approx. The last 3-4 week and becoming more frequent.

For the past 2 months we have been having problems with this vehicle it's been stalling on me, weather if we are on the highway or in town. Now the amazing thing is that it comes back on, on its own without us touching anything on it, but on the mean time we lose the brakes and steering control at high speed on the highway. The dealer has done all the recalls on it in the past two weeks and still can't find the problem. I think this is something the government needs to look into it before someone dies and mention this because on my way to san antonio the vehicle die on me at 75 miles an hour and I had my family with me that day' I did some research on this vehicle and it seems that there are way too many Dodge vehicles with this stalling problem and the dealers can't figure out what's with them'

Vehicle has less the miles on it. Vehicle low tire pressure light came on. There was excessive vibration in the wheel and body which caused passengers and vehicle to shake. Dash board indicated that all 4 tires needed air. Took vehicle to have proper air pressure added to tires. Vibration remained. Made appointment at bosak Dodge in merillville Indiana. Service writer informed me I may have to pay for service if they didn't find anything. Got called next day that the TPMS light was back on and they added air but found no vibration. I informed service writer that the light was not on when I dropped it off. He informed me it was a common issue. Don't agree.
