A D V E R T I S E M E N T S
I purchased a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 limited series in 2004. I was very happy with it. It was a 5 speed easy on gas and had everything I wanted in a truck. My truck was low maintenance with just regular wear and tear things to be replaced except for a new instrument cluster which was replaced in 2005. My truck was my baby and I loved it dearly. On April 16, 2016 my husband was coming home from work,he was going 52mph around a small turn the sun glared in his eyes and he couldn't see. He hit a guardrail went air born and hit a bank head on and totaled my truck WITHOUT the air bag deploying. I called the service number and talked with someone and she said they would look at my complaint and I would hear something in 3-5 business days. I received a letter from Lisa Martinez saying that in many real world accidents the air bags do not deploy. WHAT??? I thought that they were for safety to keep you from going through the wind shield and to keep your body from hitting the steering wheel and dash board, BUT IT DID NOT DO ITS JOB because it DID NOT DEPLOY!!! I want to know WHY did it not do its job. My husband hit his head and got banged up and bruised which I feel was unnecessary, if the air bag would have deployed it would have kept him from hitting anything!!! I would like for Dodge to investigate why the air bag did not deploy!! The letter I received is unacceptable!!! It does not tell me WHY it did not deploy!!!
