I have a ford 500 awd, this has surged and or jumped since the test drive!!! I expressed it to the sales guys who said it was nothing!!! yesterday I went to pick up my dog, on the way home started it was leaving a parking space and it took off, like someone had their foot on the gas, which I did not!! being short I have my seat up close I hit my face on the steering wheel.
this has happened numerous times, in the drive thru it jumped while someone was crossing and they thought I did it on purpose, THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS!!!

I CONTACTED FORD FOR YEARS AND THEY REFUSE TO CONTACT ME BACK ON THIS MATTER!!! the dealership has changed hands and I cannot get anywhere without spending thousands of dollars I do not have! I have a heart condition and I panic everytime I get in this car anymore, god forbid it excelerates and hits someone? the previous ford dealership (wanner of Ephrata now blaise alexander) knew the problem from the day I purchased it! they also held my license when I said I would come back I wasn't set on the car with that issue, they held my license for 5 hours till I came back. they not only bullied me into the purchase, they knew damn right well of the problem and screwed me!! FORD STINKS!! I AM ABOUT TO FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. being a woman buying a car really stinks, they take advantage on you!!!
This problem was a rather scary situation. I almost rear ended someone in a drive thru, while my foot was on the brake. Another time I almost went through the front window of a store while parking. The car would also cut out while accelerating. rather dangerous while trying to get onto the freeway. Luckily for me the car did it with the service rep in the car while at the dealer. This problem is a definite safety issue.
