broken frame broken frame

Good truck, always starts, but rear suspension is very badly designed.

I have already changed the passenger rear side of the rear frame ( cracked through the shock mount and mount ripped off). The same problem has now occurred on the driver's side. The shock mounts are a cup shape and they pick up all the salt and dirt, on both sides the frame was heavily scaled around the mount and the frame was thinner there than elsewhere.

If you are buying one, check for signs of cracking.

ford ranger 4 wheel drive I have replaced the front wheel bearings the brake lines have been replaced ,while idling the engine rpms will increase to as much as 3000 rpms for no reason also while driving ,the truck is a standard so I have to disengage the transmission to slow down, I have to drive with the hubs locked in because the won,t stay in unless I do and now the frame is broken all this in only 84000 miles .. there I have ranted a bit and feel a bit better and as soon as the junk dealer comes and hauls this piece of you know what away I will feel better; bye ford motor co. it has not been fun
