Cap looked good, but fuel economy was terrible. Had car checked out and found one of the problems was cracked fuel cap.

After taking the car to the shop complaining the fuel economy was bad they said there were not codes showing or lights on. I bought fuel injector cleaner and put it in my tank with a fill-up of fuel. Within a day, the check engine light was on and this was found. Since replacement the fuel economy has increased back to what it was when I bought the car new.
