The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that the steering wheel became very difficult to maneuver. The contact pulled over at a fuel station and left the vehicle parked until that evening. The contact then drove the vehicle home. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who advised that the vehicle be taken to a dealer due to several failure codes populating. The independent mechanic was unable to repair the failure. The dealer (sutton Ford Lincoln, 21315 central ave, matteson, il 60443) diagnosed that there was an electrical computer failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 85,000.

Electrical seems to spin every once and a while, as well as a major spin every six months, perhaps year now. Even new, vehicle had a type of electrical "reset", a message would show something about the language has been reset.., et cetera. The vehicle now will show "charging system failure" light as well as a language reset. I feel that something is taking the vehicle into a different "set", or idea..., perhaps a foreign electrical involvement is my upfront concern. When I try and simply inquiry Ford regarding this, ... it is for sure when it happens... (somehow). Ford at the dealership appears not to notice anything, as if it is fine..., that even brand new with only 1000 miles on it, they did not see any concern. I had brought it up to them many times, but things get a little 'wind', or whirley, ... like it has a cap, or an odd mischief to it. I'm worried that some day, while with it, or needing it, that it will have that "lights out" problem, where it just seems like someone "killed" it, or it is a little dark to even bring up to people. (ike) iko, ike, ikz message appears on the center console screen, it shows before starting it. It seems that Ford does not see this with what they see, or with their eyes, but it has been a bothersome thought, .. washing motor appears to be lost already at a low mileage, and I am figuring, that since it is new, that this is to blame. 1C1C1ccc 1C1C1ccccc 1C1C1ccc 1C1C1C1ccc 1C1C1C1C

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. While driving 35 mph and making a left turn, the vehicle started to decelerate and stalled without warning. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, waited a few minutes, and was able to resume driving. The failure recurred twice. The vehicle was taken to verner cadby Ford (1240 bloomfield ave, fairfield, NJ 07004) where it was diagnosed that the throttle body, injection kit, and fuel kit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 16,600.

Car radio/sync system malfunction. Radio will not shut off at all. The screen is black as if it's off but the radio still plays! car is definitely turned off, not in aux park setting either... tried to restart car twice and it didn't reboot system. I sat there for 15 minutes with car door opened barely until radio shut off itself. Spoke to Ford rep and was told "no tsb report exists."

Why the vehicle is in motion the vehicle tents to sputter and decelerate losing all power the vehicle then comes to complete stop in the movie line of traffic you have to turn the vehicle off and then turn the vehicle back on to actually get speed to move out of the way this has become a very serious safety issue in the operator of the vehicle. This mostly happens when the vehicle is in motion while traveling at speeds between 50 to 65 miles per hour the vehicles come to almost a complete stop in the movie line of traffic

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. While driving various speeds, the maintenance warning indicator illuminated intermittently. In addition, the vehicle shook violently and the rpms decelerated independently. The contact had to place the vehicle in park and sometimes restart the vehicle in order for it to operate; however, the failure recurred minutes later. The vehicle was taken to laurel Ford Lincoln (2018 ms-15, laurel, ms 39440 (601) 649-4511) where it was diagnosed that the throttle actuator control module needed to be repaired. The dealer stated that they could not repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 139,679.

Takata recall 2013 Ford Taurus... it's only February of 2017 and I have had this problem three different times this year alone. The car starts very very rough. Half of the time it doesn't start. The vehicle has stalled on me while in motion going down city streets. It has been in the shop twice this year to repair/find the problem. Still no results. Even when the car does start I am afraid to drive it because it will and has stalled on me in traffic. Automotive shop told me it was a bad fuel pump relay. I paid to have that replaced. Not even a week later, only six days later the car stalls again. I took it back to the shop where they got it running again for free. But only temporarily. Couple weeks later at the most and I'm right back to where I started. Car will not start. If it does start it will stall immediately once I am in motion. This vehicle is only three years old and there is no excuse for it not being on the road. This is safety hazard. I cannot comfortably drive my car to and from work without worrying about it stalling and getting rear-ended. It will not be a good day when this causes an accident.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. When approaching a stop light or stop sign with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle shook from front to back. In addition, the vehicle stalled and failed to start. The steering wheel shook each time the vehicle was started and the contact noticed a burning odor inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the 02 sensors failed and the fuel pump had a leak. Both components needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.

While driving 75 mph on an interstate, I lost the power steering and was able to get the vehicle to the side of the road, a red warning message to service power steering now came on, at the same time turn signal would not work and traction control warning light came. Since it was the weekend and I was driving home for christmas I still drove the car home. I now have the car at dealership, and being told no recall on this car. But there is a recall on others for same issue. I don't have the cost yet but tried to call Ford customer service and they are close for the holiday. Wait to see what's next. Mileage on the car was 60,070.

Driving on freeway when the engine warning light came on and lost all control of steering. Had to stop in middle of road when a bystander came by and helped me get it to the side. Then had it towed to my house. Found out it was electric steering had gone out. Could have caused serious accident. Called Ford and they said there was no recall for my car. Will have it towed to Ford dealer where I will probably have to pay big bucks to get it fixed.

Positive battery terminal connection corrodes at an incredibly high rate. Connections are poorly engineered and break away causing loss of power. Because of poor connection the alternator will not sufficiently charge batter. This could lead to loss of power steering and brakes while driving. If you search online there are numerous complaints.

My Taurus symptoms are, lose of power in lower gears(1,2,3). When accelerating from a stand still, the car hesitates. And now the car has a crank no start issue and I smell fuel. My my touch is a little slow but my reverse cam is upside down and some times doesn't show a view at all. Other then that, my Taurus has been great and reliable. I hope Ford finds away to address these issues before they lose a loyal costumer

I have 2013 Ford Taurus at sam galloway Ford in fort myers Florida, they called me and said my E.T.B electronic throttle body needs to be repaired/replaced and it will cost $750 out the door. I started doing some research for cheaper cost and I came across other Ford with this same problem that was recalled, made a few calls to Ford and they said my VIN number doesn't qualify my car for that recall. This is a very dangerous problem, the car will lose throttle in the middle of traffic. This seems to me a issue and problem with a number of Ford vehicles and just because mine doesn't fall under the VIN, it's still a Ford and the etb is a problem for Ford vehicles. Please make this a recall! etb is a problem that needs to be fixed for any Ford that it happens to! this has happened several times to me since I had the car and it's only been a two months. To dangerous to be on the streets to drive and needs to be fixed!

While driving down the street the steering wheel on the car locked up and wouldn't turn. The car gave a "service power steering" and " steering assist default" at the time of the wheel locking up. This is very dangerous because the car just stops where you are. It won't take gas or anything. This is the second time that it has happened in this car. I took the car to a Ford dealer and was told that the problem was a weak battery. I do not think this is the problem. I have noticed other Ford vehicles of the same year with this problem. I think this is a major problem and needs to be corrected before someone is hurt or killed by this problem.
