Just in time for it to get really cold, the driver's side heat started going cooler and cooler until it was more like air conditioning than heat. I took it into the dealer and they said it was the sub-heater unit (basically a mini heater core that separates the heat from the driver to the passenger, etc) and it was going to be 5 hours worth of labor and $200 for the Sub-heater unit itself - they gave me a quote of $700!
We decided to put a dish towel in the vent for now and just let the rear and passenger side heat the van. The defrost sometimes fogs over but I don't have an extra $700 laying around to fix it
