Odyssey EX-L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,200 miles

Our Honda Odyssey isn't even a year old, has been parked in a garage when not doing errands around town, has never driven in the snow and salt/sand, has never been on a long trip, and now has no fewer than 8 (EIGHT) rock chips in the paint. The largest is the size of a penny and growing. I had a truck and a car both of which I put 100,000 miles on and when I got rid of them they maybe had 5 dings each none of which were peeling.
So we took the van to the dealership and they indicated that it was completely normal wear and tear to get that many chips and to have chips flake. To me it is absurd that a brand new vehicle should have such a crappy paint job. Honda is completely unwilling to fix it on their dime and I'm wondering how the van will look after 50,000 miles (probably like a teenager with a really bad case of acne. NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THE PAINT!!!!

Our new Odyssey rear bumper paint started chipping off as soon as we got the vehicle. It is a white bumper with black under it so that it is rapidly becoming spotted. The factory rep from eight feet away stated it is not a warranty problem. He never even got close to look. His job is obviously to avoid warranty claims.,
. I took out my camera and the Honda of America's factory rep ran into the dealership and never came out. What a crappy way to handle their clients avoid their responsibility. We had other problems including water leaking through the window Apillar when it rains.

I would never buy another Honda with a factory that doesn't stand behind it's products. When you buy from Honda you are sending the profits out of the USA and Honda doesn't back their products. Honda's quality is not there anymore.
