The engine started to misfire & it was brought to the dealer. I was told that fouling occurred in one of the cylinders which caused the misfire. The Honda dealer told me this has been a problem but since past warranty date I was responsible for the repair amount +$7000.00.

Not sure what a recall law includes but very frustrating being told too bad. Having owned 10+ vehicles I've never had such an expensive problem with little or no options.

On a road trip, one of the spark plugs gave up the ghost. Flashing engine light with a code for cylinder. It ran rough. I tried swapping coils but still had the problem. I drove it to an auto store, got a new plug and it was good as new. Not sure yet if it was the cylinder or if the spark plug failed. It was only 20k miles old.

This is my 3 Honda Odyssey and biggest lemon . I can not get any help from Honda or my local dealer . My van has codes cylinder 3 misfire 4 times and now cylinder deactivation 4 times in 6 months. . There is a misfire ext does warranty because of a class action settlement that my van has all the problems that it specifies and now the Honda bulletin 11-033 that describes my vehicle . I am at my local dealer at least every 2 months. I do not know why I keep getting the run around. I just want my vehicle fixed as their is apparently a defect in the engine and I am rightfully owed a new engine. It is a major inconvenience for me to miss work or broke down when I live Over a hour away from dealer and the fact I can not go out of town to see family due to the fact I am in fear I will break down with 3 kids. I need help on getting this corrected please someone direct me. I have 3 cases filed with Honda I have done the oil consumption test , in which my dealer aid I didn't qualify. But did not do it correctly as I saw them eyeball the dip stick instead of draining and measuring. My dealer is Tim Short Honda of Ivel I'm Ky. Maintence mnger is Steve

Multiple errors for mis-fire on multiple cylinders. Believe this is due to known issues with this vehicle. Replacing spark plug is temporary fix. I see on this site that honda issued a Technical bulletin on oil consumption issue which i believe is causing the spark plugs to go bad. Wondering what others have experienced when approaching honda on this issue. Is there a permanent fix?

Driving home from Chicago (total mileage of trip is 169 miles). At exactly 50,000 we hear pop and shake, next thing our check engine light blinks non-stop. Lucky for mobile internet, I immediately searched for the issue and did not turn off the vehicle. RPM's at 60mph was 3000. Ran almost 1 tank of gas on 100 miles, was not notified by dealer how much oil it ate up.

I rushed to the dealer, 10 minutes before they closed. They wanted to turn off my engine an check it in the AM. I refused to let them do so because many other complaints stated that if you turn off your engine, the code will not be saved for some reason on the engine misfires. Dealer was not too happy they had to check my issue at closing, but I got the code and it was the engine misfire. Only good for 8 yr warranty from date of vehicle purchase.

Lucky we had an extra vehicle at home, but it was very inconvenient to drive each other to work for an entire week while the dealer gets the part and takes 2 days for repair. Class action settlement does not cover loaner vehicle, which is DUMB! especially when the dealer has to keep the vehicle for an entire week for a problem in their engine. Even a small engine loaner would do just to get me back and forth from work would have made me as a customer happy!

Since this incident, My husband and I are on a search for a new vehicle. We owned every Honda in my family (brothers and sisters) from Accord, Civic, CRV, Odyssey, Pilot.....

No more Honda for me. At least the ECO V6 vehicles are the ones that seem to have the most problems.

I had a Dodge and Ford in the past for business, and they honored me a loaner vehicle and were true customer based.
