CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 and 2015 Honda Odyssey shows an early trend of transmission problems with clunking/jerking when shifting gears.

Most of these Odyssey transmissions are still under warranty, but so far Toyota generally hasn't been able to diagnose or fix the clunking problem — that's the reason for our low rating. Some owners have reported it was a stuck solenoid, & in a few cases Honda has replaced the entire transmission.

As more of these Odysseys start exceeding the 60,000-mile powertrain warranty limit, buyer beware.

The driver side sliding door cable broken all of a sudden When we took to dealer (( tamaroff honda southfield Michigan)and we were shocked to know that the cable cannot be replaced and the entire set - with Motor should be replaced costing 1200 The cable as I see is very thin and my first impression is it's not strong enough that cannot with stand the openings and closings which we do/have to do on a daily basis besides it's connected to a motor which is completely inside the rear side and complex to reach out and to fix a cable we are shelling 1000+ dollars We hardly had any wear and tear on the vehicle as in 6 years we drove less than 50k miles this seems to be a practically functional and mechanical issue which is not qualitatively made, obviously looses it's strength on the normal daily use. This broken cable not only stops the door movement but also will alarm constantly when the van is in drive which forces the customer to shell out huge money only to replace the cable. I strongly believe this is a quality issue which needs a better way of mechanism with quality Opened Case #12287637 with Honda on 06/14/2021 and when I haven't received reply, called them and the case manager abruptly denied any sought of fix coverage ( partial also) stressing the point that the vehicle is out of warranty. Besides the case manager also denied to respond in email( for documentational purpose) which I requested to...They said they only answer in verbal
