In addition, the contact stated that sporadically when starting the vehicle, the rear A/C would engage independently but would not register on the front control panel. The manufacturer and dealer were both contacted who could not provide a resolution to the failure. The contact had concerns with having to remove her eyes from the roadway to disengage the rear A/C system. The VIN was unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000 and the current mileage was approximately 10,600.
