Vehicle in motion after fueling. Every time I fill my tank, my Jeep starts bucking and sometimes none responsive, it also shuts off when I come to a standstill. With the engine running, I can floor the accelerator and the RPM stays the same. The behavior is only on a full tank, after 50 miles it stops. Dangerous as when I am in motion the Jeep stalls regardless of the speed I am going at.

This is my second complaint. I have had no feedback from my first complaint which bothers me since it a safety risk to me and my family. Recently I replaced the battery. I always let the car warm up before driving at the start of the day and have observed the car stall suddenly without warning. Fortunately I have avoided an accident from being rear ended by another vehicle. This happens every time and throughout the day. My service at the dealer is upto date and they have not indicated any issues. Please address this safety risk immediately.

Driving the car the engine light and traction light would come on and the steering wheel would lock in position, moving straight or turning. Happened several times between servicing. Several codes came up and were addressed but did not fix the problem. Codes were U0131, U0418, U0131-87, U0415 and U0428. No issue until car was serviced for the latest recall. Car with dealer. Say it's a complete electrical system repair. Not once have I had an issue with my car in 4yrs until dealer serviced it for steering wheel recall.

While driving my engine light pops on and on my screen it's says when vehicle slows to a stop put in park and shift to desired gear. I was on the eway when it happen the first time going about 75. The next time it happened I was on a side street going about 20mph and it stalled out and then it gave me the same message. I took it to Jeep they did something with the computer problem went away for a month or so and happens again. Now I'm having problems every week and every time my engine light comes on it says service transmission. The engine light doesn't stay on long it comes and it goes. It comes on when I'm driving for a while or a short period of time. Sometimes it stays on for days and other times it goes right off. It's different codes from the computer but all are different transmissions codes. I have 141,000 miles on my truck mostly highway miles.

I flat tow this 2014 Jeep Cherokee behind a 40 ft class a newmar motorhome. I have experienced a violent death wobble 6 times from 30 mph to 70 mph. The event seems to happen after turns or bumps. It is extremely violent and the only remedy is come to a complete stop even on a highway with no shoulder. I have been in contact with Jeep national beginning Oct 2019. They examined the car for a week in Oct in mountain home, Arkansas. They checked suspension, shocks, tires, alignment, struts, etc. No defects. They had no suggestions. There was a recall in 2016 that they said was complied with that involved a wiring harness for flat towing and gave me an amended page for my operating manual saying the harness was required. The event happened again and I went to my local Jeep dealer and verified that the harness was installed. On my last trip in September 2020, it happened again. I called Jeep cares and requested to speak to an engineer or technician and they said that was not possible and advised I take it to a dealer. I called my hometown dealer and spoke with the shop foreman. He looked into it and had nothing to offer. I went to the dealership last Friday and for the first time was told mopar part #68321424ab was required and it was not installed on my car. This was the first Jeep person that was aware of the problem and knew what the solution was. Jeep wants me to pay $750 to have the part (a wiring harness) installed. I think it is a solution to a design flaw and one that all Jeep service people should be aware of. This is a safety issue!

When idling or stopped in traffic or a stop sign the car shakes, lunges and stalls after filling up with fuel. The dealer has no idea, since no codes are shown. After about 25 miles of driving and lowering the fuel level I have no more issues until the next fill up. While at a traffic light the vehicle stalled and I put it in park to restart it and it didn't register that it was in park and message flashed to put in park.

The warning light came on multiple times (first day 10/4/2019 driving locally), regarding servicing the transmission, brake and airbag after starting and in a non-moving mode. On the second day of ownership 10/5/2019, I took it to the closest Jeep dealership to have them check on the warning light. The tech advisor gave me a print out of all the error codes showing (quite a few). On the sixth day 10-10-2019, I only had driven it locally when the transmission slipped out of the drive gear when I was at a stop sign. The drive transmission wasn't engaging when I pressed the gas pedal. I put it in 'park' and then back into 'drive', and it then went forward. I drove home, and I parked the Jeep in my yard. I didn't drive it again with a real concern that the Jeep wasn't safe to drive and not wanting to get stranded along a road somewhere. In 11/2019, I next drove the Jeep in my attempt to get it to the dealership service department to have the diagnostics done to find out the exact issues. The transmission did the same thing and slipped out of 'drive' in busy stop and go traffic in route on a 5 lane highway at a traffic light after stopping and giving gas to move forward. This time it took four attempts (placing in park and then drive) before the Jeep would drive forward. I made it to the dealership on a prayer five minutes further down the road. The final diagnosis (12/18-2019) was that the Jeep needs a transmission/engine wiring harness. 'there is a brake in the transmission control module circuit for communication and depending on how the engine flex's, the communication line drops out and causes the tcm to go offline'. on 4/12/2020, I took photos of the code flashing (see attached images). It wouldn't start. One week later, it started and I drove it in my yard to park it farther out of my main driveway. There it has sat for a few months.

Car bucks and stalls after filling up with gas. Four times to the dealer and they cannot figure out what is wrong with it. Finally, driving car stalled in traffic. Made it to the dealer. They were able to finally see the problem as no codes were going off before. Car was in motion and stalled. Restarted, then stalled at the red light. So it stalled while moving and stationary.

The SUV would not start first thing in the morning as I was heading to work. Jump started in the afternoon and the car would not shut off, gears would not hold and could not go into park or neutral. I was trying to make it to the battery replacement center and get a new battery installed right away. Instead I had to put the hand brake on as the car would not stop and got it towed to dealership for new battery install. I was endangering myself and others in this situation. There was no indication about I needing a new battery prior to this incident.

Was driving my 2014 Jeep Cherokee down the road. It shuttered and stopped suddenly. We barely coasted to side of road. We found out we was out of gas. The fuel gauge quit working. We was almost rear ended. We had less than 50,000 miles on my Jeep. It was scary and Jeep would do nothing about it unless I paid the $300 to get hooked up to computer at dealership. I had to pay it up front. I do not have the money for that. I thank god that we was not rear ended at the time it happened. We was driving down state route 49 in arcanum at the time it happened. Just driving from arcanum to greenville Ohio. Called aaa for a tow. But a person stopped by with gas in a gas can and asked if we wanted to try it. We put gas in Jeep. It started up. Felt with less than 50,000 they should have checked it out for free. What if we was rear ended? state route 49 in that area is very busy two lane state route. So we think gauge is wrong or broken. So might list unknown since never put on computer to know for sure.

It keeps coming up service shifter almost everyday. The shop says there is nothing wrong that they can see. It stared 1 month after we bought the car in 2019. It does not matter how fast your are going. Sometimes when U start it, it pops up. Sometimes you are drivng down the road and it comes up. All the lights on the shifter turn red and it covers the whole dash as well. You have to turn the car off let it reset and then start again and most times it goes away except yesterday I had to drive home with it like that. Today it was gone.
