Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact has experienced several failures with the vehicle over the last few months. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle and headlights shut off. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. She repairs her own vehicle and noticed that the alternator failed. She paid $120 for the repairs. When starting the vehicle, the contact noticed that her windows would not roll down, and the turn signals, power locks, and power mirrors failed. The contact inspected the vehicle and determined that the wiring in the doors failed. The vehicle was repaired. The contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 40,000 and current mileage was 74,000.
