Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

I was notified of a recall earlier this year concerning the wireless ignition node (win). When I went to the dealership I was told that the part in question was on back order (part # R57xbn) and was told to check back to see when they would come in. About three or four weeks ago I stopped in at bob and chuck eddy, 4850 mahoning avenue, austintown, Ohio and spoke with santana williams who made an appointment for me today at 9:30. When I arrived to drop of my vehicle I was told that they was no appointment for me. I then explained the issue and handed him her card with my appointment information on it. I was then told not to worry they will take care of me. At this point the person I was talking to disappeared for a while and upon returning informed me that the part was not in. He then gave me the part number and told me to call every week until it came in and then they would schedule an appointment. It appears that the plan is to just keep putting it off until I get an accident or just trade in the vehicle.

I waited for over one year for the dealership to respond for repair of the recalls P57 / NHTSA 14V-567 (and P73). They completed the repair(s) August 25, 2015 - no charge. However, the vehicle immediately, and ever since, has shown the exact same symptoms. I returned the vehicle to the dealership and they now say that the problem is different and my cost will be approximately $500. This does not seem right.
