The vehicle was leased in December 2023. At time of delivery the vehicle was making a clicking and clunking sound when turning. It took over a month to get an appointment to get the vehicle looked at. With 2,800 miles the vehicle was diagnosed with a right axle shaft. It took over two weeks for the parts to be delivered and replaced. The vehicle was picked up after 16 days and the issue persisted. Again, it took nearly a month for an appointment. The vehicle was with the dealer for 6 days and was not able to find diagnose an issue. The vehicle was picked up and the next day was returned to the dealer for the same issue. This time it was confirmed there is an undiagnosed steering/suspension problem. Also during this visit the check engine light illuminated. The fault was a hybrid battery cooling system failure. The dealer is unable to complete any work on the vehicle and a new service appointment was scheduled in 4 days. This will be the third attempt to fix this steering/suspension issue. Jeep corporate was notified with the first service visit and again with the second visit. They have since stopped communicating with me to come to a resolution for these safety issues. There is an open recall for steering bolts, I was notified that Jeep is rationing these parts and only allowing 1 vehicle per week per dealer to be repaired. I was told it could be months before this recall is able to be completed.

This vehicle was sold to us with this issue. The dealer knew that this problem existed. We took the vehicle in for service when a warning light about the steering came on a few weeks ago. The dealer said that there was not a problem with the steering other than a wire that had been chewed by a rodent for which the dealer charged $650 to fix.

Driving 35 MPH on a back road, no cars coming the opposite direction, the automatic emergency braking system flashed, beeped and slammed my brakes momentarily. Luckily there was no one behind me. I attempted to pull into a parking lot and the entire electrical system went crazy, all warning lights, systems and sensors went off and I lost power steering. Had I been driving during power steering loss it would have been very dangerous. This is the second time this has occurred with the lights and power steering issue (first time for the AEB system issue) and the dealer kept the car 3 weeks to repair it but clearly the problem persists.

I am reaching out to discuss a serious and concerning issue I recently experienced with my Jeep Grand Cherokee L. While driving, the vehicle suddenly lost power steering completely, making it incredibly difficult to control. This was not only unexpected but also quite frightening, given the potential for accidents in such situations. To add to the concern, about six warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. Notably, messages like "Blind Spot Monitoring System Unavailable", "Lane Assistance", and, most critically, a warning about the power steering were displayed. I noticed the check engine light come up as well and the detectors on my mirrors were lit up as if the entire system was malfunctioning. Having looked into potential causes, I came across a recall notice for the 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L models regarding a steering assembly issue. I am deeply concerned that my vehicle might be affected by this recall and, considering the risks associated with such failures, I believe this matter needs urgent attention. Additionally, I had my little one in the car and am deeply concerned that we could have potentially been involved in an accident related to the malfunction. I-??m reading that others have experienced the same issues

While backing out of garage as I routinely do each morning, my gauge panel indicated a "Service Steering System" light as well as the check engine light. I lost all power steering. I unhooked battery, and reconnected. Power steering was now available, but the check engine light remains on. I took car to dealership where it has set for 8 days. I have been told they are waiting on part #68628263-AA, a rack & pinion. I was not offered a loaner vehicle or an explanation other than that they are waiting on a part. I was told to just "take the car home and drive it if I knew how to reset the battery to get power steering to work". This seems very unsafe.

When driving my vehicle, the engine seems to be stalling as a switching from one gear to the other jolts. The engine is slow in responding to speeding up. I feel unsafe specially when attempting to go on the freeway because the car seems to momentarily stop and between switching gears. I called the dealership where I purchased the car and they said that there is no recall for a similar experience of the problem. I called and they said that they would not be able to look at it for a few weeks, and that I was not able to book an appointment and that I would need to drop it off and it would take them approximately about three weeks to look at it and I was not able to get a loaner vehicle from them during that time.

We have a recently purchased Jeep L with 5200 miles on it. Never off road, just a family commuter. Today my wife was driving the car for the second time and the power steering went out completely and it was very hard to turn the wheel. A bunch of other likes came on like the adaptive cruise and active lane management and front collision icons. The dash was lit up with warning including a large steering wheel icon in red. We shut the car down and restarted multiple times and the issue was still there. After 15 minutes of being on the phone to get it towed to the dealer, the issue went away on the next start with just a check engine light remaining.
