No warning lights had ever come on in my car, however after bringing it in for its 30,000 mile service in which the car was gone over and the transmission fluids were flushed. 3 days later, the automatic transimisson is so shot that it needs a new transmission. The biggest problem I am having is that I feel cheated by the service in that if it was to be a coincidence a problem that big should have been picked up on. I do not think it was a coincidence and I do believe that the service center some how did something to ruin the transmission. Less the 30,000 miles on a car that I know every mile put on should not need a new transmission that soon. I feel horribly cheated even though the problem is being fixed. With $600 worth the service and regular service being done this should never happen, my car goes in for service about every 6 months, there is no reason that the check engine light should ever come on. Also Mazda should be able to provide a Brand New Transmission not rely on simply one that was rebuilt or remanufactured. Thank god for my extended warranty that was purchased. I have searched the internet to see if I am the only one that has experienced this problem, and so far I havent not seen anyone else with this happening, which makes me feel even more like I have been duped by this service center and that something happened to have done this to my car. The name of the service center is Country Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, in Huntington Station, NY. If anyone else has problems with their transmission on their Mazda 3 please let me know.
