A dangerous metal shelf is mounted under both front seats in all 2014-2015 Mazda 3 vehicles in Israel (and probably in other countries as well). It is mounted too far from seat bottom, thus is very dangerous for rear passengers feet. It might seriously harm feet stuck under it.
Furthermore, it blocks/reduces important rear legroom. Rear passengers cannot avoid put their feet under front seat. So obviously their feet are stuck between this shelf and cabin's floor.
I guess it is aimed to protect the wiring/sensors installed under the seat. Mazda had covered this engineering error with a carpet.
Solution is simple. Mazda should fix and re-mount the shelf higher, close as possible to seat bottom. Or remove it totally.
