The contact stated that a warning light illuminated on the instrument panel for a disconnected seat; however, the seat was connected. Please note that I attempted to report this to Nissan today, but the first call I was hung up on after describing why I was calling and the second call went unanswered. At some point between 01/27/2022 and 01/31/2022, it was reported to me that my vehicle was destroyed by fire. My VIN was verified to be a part of the recent recall regarding salt water entering the driver side floor panel and causing electrical corrosion that could potentially result in fire. I did experience my driver floor board becoming wet, intermittently, after driving in rainy or wet road conditions as was described in the recent recall. The car has been completely destroyed by fire. Rogue

  • 30,000 miles
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that initially, the engine battery had to be replaced twice after an independent mechanic discovered corroded wiring which had caused her battery to drain. The contact then took the vehicle back to the dealer the vehicle where the vehicle was purchased and had a portion of her wiring repaired. Despite the repair, the contact stated that her backup camera and turn signals failed to operate as needed. The contact also stated that a burning odor would emit from her vehicle without warning. As the failure persisted, she took the vehicle to another independent mechanic where they discovered a leak(location unknown) inside the vehicle which had caused the corrosion and was the source of her electrical failure. While watching the news, the contact heard about NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) which she linked to her failure. The manufacturer was then notified and she was informed that her vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

For the last 2 years in the summer when the temperature reaches over 85F outside, my ac stops working and blows hot air. When the outside temperature is below 85 it works perfectly fine. 2 years my heating also went out in the dead of winter and only blew out cold air. Took it to the dealership and they reset the computer which seems to have fixed that problem. Over the last few days my ac/heating system has made a rattling noise and today it went completely out. I turn it on and the fan doesn't blow hot/cold air. According to multiple online searches, this is a known issue with the 2014-2017 Rogues that Nissan has yet to address or issue a recall on. And I would have to replace the whole system that will cost well over $2000. I live in Chicago and being without working heat in the winter is a serious hazard. How many complaints need to be made before the manufacture takes it seriously

Rogue

  • 30,000 miles
The factory-installed navigation system has several issues that make it unusable. These issues include the following: The entire navigation system will randomly restart several times while using it, erasing all trip data; the screen will freeze when trying to use it, making it impossible to change the volume, turn off the unit, or do anything. Brought the vehicle to a Nissan dealership and they denied that the unit had any issues. What's worse is that there are no available navigation or software updates for the 2014 Nissan rouge, and Nissan has no intentions on upgrading anything. The navigation update site says there are no updates available for the 2014-15 Nissan Rogues, but there are several updates available for 2016 and newer models. This is absolutely unacceptable, and has caused several distracting issues while driving or trying to navigate using the built-in navigation that I paid a premium for. Please investigate this further. I'm not sure what else to do. Also, please note that the "when did this happen?" date is irrelevant because this has been an ongoing issue since purchasing the car. I brought the vehicle to the dealership for service about 6 months ago, and they confirmed there was nothing they would do to fix it for me.

Nissan recall number 15vo32000 is for a factory defect involving water leaking into passenger side floor mats and causing an electrical short and vehicle fire. Nissan has not notified us to get this corrected by a Nissan dealer. Nissan needs to proactively stand behind their products before this becomes an electrical fire hazard or a health hazard from the mould and mildew.
