The knob was used on as needed basis. No one did anything excessive with it, except for regular use ( turn right or left). Now winter is coming and I will not be able to defrost windshields if needed (knob goes only half-way).Toyota Dealer in Carlstadt, NJ said that the fix will be expensive ( not on warranty) because they have to remove whole dashboard. Why this is not fixed as manufacturer's defect? this control simple knob should have work for many years and car is only over 3 year old.
