I had been driving the car all morning over 50 miles, Sunny dry & in mid 50's today. Just 3 brief stops, longest stop was less than 5 minutes to get a coffee. After the last stop I had driven about 2 miles on local roads and just passed through the toll booth to get on the turnpike, easy - pass at 25 MPH. I was just starting to accelerate and nothing. The transmission seemed like it was going to shift up, guessing 2nd to 3rd! Out of nowhere it just disengaged and engine revved freely to about 4000 RPM. I pulled to the right and moved the gear selector from D to 3 and the transmission re-engaged. I drove another 33 miles without any disengagement issues.
I checked the Transmission fluid when I got home. It is the right color, smells nice & very clean looking. The level was also right on the "Hot fill mark"!
