Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Trunk for 2010 Corolla did not stay open when wife opened trunk to access items. Lid edge hit bridge of her nose, causing a small cut, and swelling. Developed to "raccoon eyes" the same evening that lasted a few days. Car was parked on slight incline. Even on level surfaces, lid closes unexpectedly.

  • 5,000 miles
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact was driving 60 mph when he lowered the rear power windows. The vehicle began to shake violently. The contact was unable to see out of the rearview mirror because of the hard vibration. The failure worsened as the contact increased speed. In addition, the failure would cause the keyless remote sensor to fail. The contact test drove another 2010 Toyota Corolla to determine if the failure was limited to his vehicle. The vehicle exhibited the exact same failure. The dealer was in the vehicle with the contact and stated that he had never seen the failure before then. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 5,000.

  • 2,501 miles

The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. While driving approximately 5 mph through a car wash, the contact noticed that water was leaking through the sunroof area. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who could not diagnose the failure. The failure recurred; therefore, the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer. The dealer restated that there were no failures but instructed the contact to hand wash the vehicle instead of taking it through a car wash; the dealer also stated that the failure occurred on twelve 12-15 vehicles out of 20. The failure continued to occur. The failure mileage was 2,501. The current mileage was approximately 4,000.

2010 Toyota Corolla - trunk falling on my head as I tried to take out groceries from the trunk. It has happened 4 times; 2 times for me, once on my daughter and once on my son. When you open the trunk, it does not stay open especially if the car is on an incline. Even on flat surface, it has the tendency to close/shut.

2010 Toyota Corolla, steering problems. Car feels like it is out of alignment when traveling at highway speeds and veers sharply when braking, at any speed, or if car goes over a bump in the road, at any speed. Intermittent rattling noise coming from steering column. Have taken car to dealership 6 times but am told they cannot duplicate the problem. Problem is continuous.. also intermittent rattling noise coming from front drivers wheel area when traveling on rough roads and when braking. Toyota dealership also cannot duplicate the problem. Steering problems began as soon as I purchased the car and have continued ever since. Underbody rattle began Jan 1, 2010 and is intermittent. Car does not feel safe when driving at highway speeds.. am told by Toyota that car is perfectly safe to drive... I am not convinced.
