Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Vehicle is impacted by takata pass bag faulty, no resolution informed by Toyota advised Toyota to refund money in regards to paying $21K, also vehicle has clatter under passenger side cv axle, have been in several times for solution or resolution to this issue more than 3 times to date there stating no problem is there, if car I jacked up I hear clear noise between cv axle and transmission, this was brought to Toyota attn. Once at Toyota of irving twice at Toyota of dallas and was shown to me at ntb tire to have axle or transmission irregular noise clatter when put in drive while on lift up 5 ft with one tech in car and another under vehicle with me pointing out clearly there is noise on passenger side. Yet Toyota denies this or any noise to be a problem or hazard nor to acknowledge any noise exsist, also brought car in for brake growl when I step on brakes, the rear brakes have not been changed by me and are not aftermarket brakes unless Toyota installed them, the car was purchased from dealer, I took car back 4 times in regards to brake issues back to dealer no problem found

At approx 11:30 pm on July 15th 2016, my fiancÉ, myself and 2 of our friends were heading home from downtown miami on I-95. It was raining extremely hard, so everyone was going well below the speed limit. I would approx we were going 35-40 mph. The car in front of us slammed on his breaks due to the rain coming down extremely hard, and I proceeded to do the same. However instead of my car breaking, it began accelerating 10-15mph. Luckily there were no cars to my right and I was able to veer out of the way of the car in front of us, or else we would of been in a horrible car accident and possibly dead. As expected, my fiancÉ is extremely shooken up by what happened. I know this is a known issue with the 2010 Corolla and I have taken my car in for all the recalls and inspections but obviously there is something still wrong with the 2010 Corollas because I almost died tonight die to unexpected acceleration

I was driving 99 South in South sacramento last Aug 21 2015, at around 2 pm. My lt foot was on the brake as I stopped to glance at my blind spot on my rt side so I can take hwy 50 toward lake Tahoe, when I turned my head to the front, I noticed my car was moving forward on it's own, so I pressed the brakes all the way down and I lost control of the car, I felt the brake stucked to the floor and the only reason the car stopped is because I was on bumper to bumper traffic and my car hit the car infront of me. My car had only had 47000 miles on it. 2 weeks prior to that I took my car to the dealer for oil change and he said I need new front brakes on the next oil change. As a result of the accident, my car is totalled. Fortunately no one was injured! the policeman took report. I called Toyota customer service in torrance and she suggested to inspect the " black box " or edr of the car then she asked me what I want from Toyota! after the accident, I found out that there were lots of recalls on Toyota matrix up to 2012 but I never received any notice from the mail nor the dealer fix the recall whenever I take my car for oil change!

I purchased my 2010 Toyota Corolla in October 2010, about a month later I began noticing problems with my brakes. Pressing the brakes there is a slight acceleration of the vehicle, taking my foot off the brake the car also accelerates before slowing down, I have no control over the acceleration. To this day, the brakes still regularly accelerate. Others who have driven my car immediately experience the brake acceleration and are very uncomfortable driving my car. I have been to the dealer numerous times when the problems began but they did not fix the problems (I did keep the work order receipts), I have not been to the dealer recently.

At speeds over 50 mph the 2010 Corolla S has steering wander - does not hold center very well - constantly have to correct direction to keep it straight - gets tiring after a while - just figured there was nothing I could do about it so I just lived with problem until reading an article about the NHTSA checking into problem so I told [xxx] in service dept. At dry ridge Toyota in ky. About problem ( Oct - 2013 ) and he said he would check into it and see if Toyota would offer a fix - no response from Toyota after over 6 months its now ( may - 2014 ) I have checked back every month with [xxx] but he says still nothing from Toyota - so im now filing this complaint with NHTSA.......... also the speed control jerks car very hard as it reengages while going up a hill sometimes approx. 25 mph to 45 mph......... also the antilock brakes cause the front end of the car to jump up and down when trying to stop on slick rainy or snow roads at slower speeds. Thank you. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

While driving on route 30 East in pa, I experienced a scenario where I was on cruise control and pressed the brake. The car continued to accelerate at its speed and subsequent pressings of the brakes did not slow the car. I shifted the car into neutral and the brakes still were not slowing the car enough. I had to drive into the left shoulder and grass beyond that in order to slow the car down enough to let other cars pass so I could go into the right lane. The next business I took my car to the dealer and after driving 7 miles and looking for error codes, reported that they "could not reproduce the issue". my car already had all the fixes for the unintended acceleration issue that Toyota had a number of recalls for done in December 2013. This issue needs to be further investigated by Toyota because if the reported fixes do not work, then there could be a significant number of accidents/fatalities yet to come. I never had experienced this issue before.

Brakes make a rapid thumping sound and are ineffective when applied at the time the car is driving over bumps, holes, or imperfections on the road surface. The road surface has to be completely smooth for the brakes to work properly. This is cause for a potential accident.

I was driving and the person in front of me had hit their brakes due to the cars in front of them hitting the brakes due to a red light. I then hit my brakes as well and the car didn't stop, I pumped the brakes a few times and still had no brakes. My husband had panicked and pulled the emergency brake and the car still did not stop. My car then hit the vehicle in front of us which in turn cause a chain reaction for the other 3 vehicles involved. If my brakes would not have failed, I would have been able to stop in time before smashing into the back of the vehicle in front of me. My car is now a "total loss" and I am out of a vehicle. I am just glad that no one was seriously hurt.
