We purchased the car and noticed that when the button to turn on the rear glass defroster was pushed there was interference on the am/fm radio. Contacted the dealer under the warranty and initial fix was to replace the antenna booster, did not correct problem. Next attempt was to trace down all grounds and attempt to make sure the grounds were still good, not fixed. Last action was to replace the entire back glass window, not sure but it also looks like there is now an external antenna in the roof of the Corolla. We had an extended warranty that covers all except for a $50.00 copay.
Service writer advised that the glass installer reports that he had done 3 other Toyota's this week. Seems that this is a recurring issue. Also found similar reports online. Hopefully this will result in a recall so we can be reimbursed. Not a safety issue but is annoying.
