Corolla S 1.8L

I HAVE READ 5 PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS FROM 5 OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. SURGING; DECELERATING BY 300-500 RPM. IS THERE A FIX? ALSO, THROTTLE RESPONSE IS SLOW!

I LOVE THE CAR BUT THESE 2 ITEMS ARE VERY FRUSTRATING! IS THERE A RECALL ON THE SURGING? OR ANYTHING ELSE?

Corolla LE 4.L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 350 miles

This corolla is crap it has been a problem since day one, it miss fires at speeds of 25 to 42 the rpm needle jumps way up the falls way down and it tryes to shut off it is truly an unsafe car. Took it to two different deals and they did nothing to resolve the problems. That of course is not the only things wrong with it . The overdrive kicks in and out all the time, the brakes grab and jerk, the accelerator tries to take off on its own while driving . this car is very unsafe to drive. I have tried to get the Dealer to do a buy back still fighting with them on that ,it seems they really don't care This is my source of transportation, I take my 88 year old mother to the doctor and to pay bills and shop God for bid this thing quits in the middle of the highway it will not be a good out come.

Probably associated with fuel flow. Generally happens when going down hill, around 45 miles per hour. Feels like it is shifting gears.
