I'm wondering if anyone else is having a problem with the seat belt pretensioner indicators after two recall fixes, and whether they're being told that a necessary part is out-of-stock. My problem is with our 2013 Corolla.

During the first week of July 2020, we had our car serviced under a second recall, to install a noise filter. (The first recall fix was for the Takata airbag, in early March 2019.) A few days after the second fix, we experienced several occurrences of the "seat belt not fastened" indicator (for the passenger side lighting up, as well as that of the "airbag off" light. (The SRS light on the left side of the tachometer was also lit up.) The dealer could not recreate the failure condition (and the ECU hadn't even recorded such an occurrence), so we brought the car back to them immediately after it had again occurred, so that they could see the indicators "in action".

We were told that they had to contact Toyota to see if the fix was covered, and it was. However, they told us that the part was not in stock and Toyota had no idea when it would again be available. I'm beginning to suspect that it's not just a "part that's out-of-stock", but that the problem has something to do with the ECU. It's odd that this problem only happened after the second recall fix (where a noise filter was installed to shield the ECU). Meanwhile, it's been nearly three months since this problem was discovered (and that long since a passenger could sit in the front seat).
