I noticed the inside windshield glass square area under the top mounted sensor array was hazed/burnt shortly after buying my car & was likely that way when I purchased it. I took it to purchasing dealership & they said they submitted the claim/issue to Toyota Corporate after examining the issue - which they said was likely due to the heating element in the sensor housing causing that reaction with the glass. Toyota dealership never followed up on it (they said they would call me) & never responded to the follow-up one inquiry that placed with them.

I decided to not have my car serviced at that dealership any longer & haven't been in touch with them since. I plan to bring up the issue again at another dealership that is now servicing my car, but haven't yet. The previous dealership indicated that it might require complete replacement of the sensor unit & front windshield & they had to have it approved by Toyota Corporate for warranty repair. I'm pretty disappointed with Toyota at this point, for a variety of reasons (this just being one of them). Needless to say, I wish that I would have just kept my bulletproof little 2015 Toyota Yaris SE hatchback 5-MT. Live & learn.
