CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 RAV4's top complaint is that the navigation screen is impossible to see in direct sunlight.
While certainly an annoyance, it's not a big deal in the world of car problems. Luckily the fix is a $10 anti-glare screen cover.

A transmission leak has developed. Unfortunately, there is no way to check the fluid level or top it off easily since the genius that designed it decided to save a few dollars and eliminate the transmission dipstick. There is a much more labor intensive and less precise way to refill it. However, without knowing what level it's at easily, we are never really sure how often it needs to be refilled. I will never buy another car that doesn't have a trans dipstick or a way to insert one. Basically, it's designed as a disposable car. Fixing the leak would be very expensive and I might get it done, but this is an extremely irritating move by cheapskate Toyota "engineers".
