Not only paint chips easily but finishing paint job was poor (I found it about a year later while I was washing the car) It's very annoying and mad. I used touch up paint to cover up. But I'm not satisfied with product.

We noticed paint chips within the first 400 miles. We thought it was road rash. We had to take it to the dealership to see what in the world was going on!! They touched up several areas. Few days later, there are more...on the sides, by the gas tank, all over the hood (TO THE METAL!) We are talking about a 2015 Rav4 with only 12,100. It looks terrible. I am a big Toyota fan, but this is absolutely horrible. What do do about rust? What to do about the rest of the paint chipping?

NOT HAPPY WITH THE WARRANTY. TOYOTA HAS TO MANY ESCAPE WORDING IN THE WARRANTY.

PEOPLE SHOULD READ WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER IT BEFORE THEY BUY.

BIG LESSON FOR ME.

RAV4 Limited 2.5L V6

Just purchased car end of March. Maybe ONE month old and paint is chipping off. The chips are so bad and in one spot that I don't know why I didn't hear something hit me. Had to have been an awful big rock, or I should say 3 that just happened to all hit the same location.I noticed that coat of paint is thinner than my nail polish, which I apply 3 coats too. Also a bird pooped on my car yesterday. This morning I wiped off and you can actually see where the poop was. I know that bird poop is bad for paint job, but really, not even ONE day and paint is coming off? I was told by our salesman that they no longer do good paint jobs how they used to, but I am still so disgusted with the fact that my car isn't even 2 months old and the paint is already coming off? Sheesh, again, the paint chipped down to the primer (if there even was primer) and coat of paint is thinner than the nail polish I put on my nails.

Is this because there is no topcoat used anymore?
