sunroof leaks sunroof leaks

My daughter's 2016 RAV4, with just 33,000 miles, started developing a musty smell (just prior to warranty expiring of course). I figured the A/C condensation drain was clogged. When I checked it, it was clear, but there was standing water under the front passenger rugs (see photo).

Took car to dealer and the dealer said it was the sunroof drains that were clogged (I didn't see ANY debris under sunroof). Dealer supposedly cleared drains.

Further investigation revealed there was water under ALL of the rugs and mold had started.

Took car back to dealer. We were charged $130 this time for a "diagnostic fee" (first time was free when they "fixed" it). Dealer determined it was a defective sunroof and they would replace the sunroof under "good faith". Dealer would not repair interior damage. I contacted insurance company for interior damage and they covered interior repair.

Now, a couple of months later, car has developed a musty smell again (aggravates my daughter's asthma). The car is back at the body shop to see what's up. Insurance contact says that sunroof problems are very common in Toyotas, much more than people know.

I'll update this when we know more of what's up after the body shop and insurance company look at it again.
