The cue screen in my Cadillac has delaminated for the second time. Cadillac replaced the screen after the first Delamination in 2017 under warranty. This replacement failed after 3 years. There is clearly a defect in the system.
It started with the screen freezing and I haven't fixed it because I only use the car on the weekends. So now just 3 days ago I noticed the screen shattered. Nobody drives in my car but me, kids are all grown up and have their own cars...
I've been having problems with this like a year later after I bought the car. I've only had it 3 years... I'm very upset with GM because they know about this problem and don't care to fix it. We pay a lot of money to buy their cars, and for what when they don't even acknowledge the problems? Shame on them!!!
I think it is very sad that an auto manufacturer knows about this problem and refuses to issue a recall. I was told by my service manager at the Lockhart Dealership in Indianapolis indicated that even if we replace the entire unit ($1,500), it will eventually do the same thing because these units have not been updated. How absurd. Just completely irresponsible. I will share this update with everyone I know and every website that Cadillac and GM do not stand behind their faulty products. I will make damn sure I NEVER purchase another Cadillac and I will even have to consider ever purchasing another GM product. Just very disappointing such irresponsibility.
