The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and noticed smoke and fire coming from the rear roof light. The vehicle caught on fire. The fire department extinguished the fire. Police and fire reports were not filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 166,000.
