Dakota Club 4.7L V8

With a truck with only 153,592 mile. The Dodge company should be liable for this repair as the truck does not have that many miles now a days. Overall the truck is in otherwise excellent condition. It seems to me that with people taking such great care of their vehicle, that the company should be honorable enough to take care of their customers as well.

Dakota SXT 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 94,000 miles

There was a whining noise that starts as you accelerate. The faster you go the worse it gets. 60 mph and you have to increase the volume on the radio to drown it out. Take it to Dodge dealer and they tell me this is not a common problem. Then I ask them about what happened and they tell me the bearings inside disintegrated and spread throughout the rear diff causing more problems.

At 30,000 miles i had my entire rear diff replaced (under warranty) because I had water instead of oil inside because one of the pressure release hoses was not hooked up correctly.

So now the second one has all the bearings destroyed inside.

Not a happy dodge owner.
