Flex SEL 3.5L V6

This is the third time this has happened and it is always the same going down a driveway and making a left hand turn into traffic. and this time it was pulling out of a driveway from a friends home. This time it scared me that I had not had the issue with traffic again. I now, if possible, avoid making Left hand turns at any time there is any traffic at all and I DO NOT LET ANYONE BUT ME DRIVE THIS VEHICLE FOR FEAR OF CAUSING THERE DEATH.

I am now so scared of this happening we are using my wife's vehicle and the FLEX is in the drive or Garage all the time. Please I hope anyone else that has this issue will report it as I have and it scares me that FORD will not own up to these issues and fix them. As a retired Auto worker and also a supplier with a Parts Company I know the Auto Companies hold all suppliers responsible for there issues and Ford should be held responsible for there issues and the repair to the customers vehicle. This is especially important for ones that could cause deaths or injury and this one fits both issues.

I purchased the FLEX because Ford did not take a buy out and my RETIREMENT vehicle but I now in-retrospect wish I could change that decision. After reading some of the other 2009 FLEX issues with Engines and Coolant system problems and the cost of repair I may just bite the bullet and get rid of it before it becomes a large issue. NHTSA should make Ford fix it NOW for all parties with these problems.

Flex LX 3.2L

This problem of the car stopping or not starting for any reason was a real concern. After 2 days the mechanic where I bought the vehicle finally found it, however even having extended warranty it did not cover the labour which was over $600 to fix and which I had to pay. If anyone out there has this problem tell your mechanic to look for a ground screw underneath the car which my have come loose.
