The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon. While traveling 25 mph, the contact noticed a loud explosion from outside of the vehicle. He found that the passenger side mirror had fractured from the vehicle. The mirror was replaced by an authorized dealer. The failure recurred within six months while the contact was driving 5 mph. The dealer replaced the mirror a second time. The contact took the vehicle to a local repair facility for a second opinion where he was informed that the failure had occurred internally. The failure mileage was 29,000 and the current mileage was 35,000.
