Takata recall I received a notice in the mail to visit the website www.airbagrecall.com for more info about obtaining free replacement airbags. When I was told that I did need the replacement I placed a call to a dealership in my city & was told that they couldn't do anything for me at this time. It wasn't an official GMC recall. Luckily I have not been involved in an accident yet but am confused as to why GM is not taking action before someone is killed or hurt to take care of this matter.

Takata recall. Recall issued in 2016 but as of 12/04/2017 there is still not a solution. I have an airbag indicator light currently on and am afraid that airbag will not inflate when needed or might inflate when not needed. Also, in unrelated issue the entire display on the dash has stopped working as well. I have searched web and I do see indications that there are active recalls for electrical however my dealer says there are not any electrical recalls for my vehicle.
