When the vehicle is placed in park, key turned to off position and the keys are removed from the ignition, the engine remains running and engaged until the driver or passenger door is opened. When the door is opened, then the engine cuts off.

The contact owns a 2009 GMC Yukon. While the contact was driving approximately between 30-40 mph, the reduce engine power warning message displayed on the instrument panel. The stabilitrak warning light also illuminated. The engine completely stalled and restarted. The vehicle resumed with slight engine power at the speed of 10 mph. The failure occurred four times and it was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician stated poor quality of fuel was dispensed in the fuel tank. The computer software was updated; the mass air flow sensor and throttle body unit were cleaned. The failure recurred two weeks after the repair. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the throttle body was replaced. The failure mileage was approximately mileage was 21,910. Updated 07/08/11 updated 07/20/11
