This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Numerous difficulties have arisen during the process of driving on multiple occasions. The tablet/Radio continues to reset, and the traction control sensor light continues to illuminate. I have communicated with the GMC service center on several occasions, and each time, no issues were found. During an oil change at another dealership, no service recommendations were mentioned, yet a list of offset services was listed on Mopar. As I continued to drive, I noticed that the speed controls were limiting speeds, necessitating self-serviced accelerated drives. This has been ongoing for some time while driving and has required ongoing fuel adjustments. I have received tune-up services, coolant services, fuel services, wheel balancing, and several alignments, which have recently caused significant inconvenience. Routine maintenance has been performed, and the RPM gauge remains constant during operation. Make a unsafe drive.
I am writing to express my concerns and frustrations regarding the recurring issues with my vehicle despite multiple service appointments at Classic GMC Arlington. Despite numerous attempts to address these problems, I continue to experience issues with Continuity of service and performance Fueling system and coolant system problems (twice in six months) Stabilizer link light illumination during startup RPM acceleration while slowing down or stopping Ticking sound from the engine. Each time I bring my vehicle in for service, I am told that there are no issues with the performance, idle, or spark plugs, despite having recently received a full service tune-up. I suspect that there may be intentional damage or tampering with my vehicle, which is causing these persistent problems.I have not had any prior issues or service lights illuminated before, and there were no incidents reported by the previous owners. I believe there may be fraudulent activity involving the manufacturer and service providers. schedule a thorough inspection and diagnosis to address these recurring issues.
There have been several signal within system to have beyond service diagnostic and this have gone through many GMC SERVICE CENTERS EVERY TIME I HAVE SERVICE ARE NO ISSUES TO PROVIDE EVERY TIME AFTER THERE ARE MANY CONTINUED ISSUES ARISE. DEACTIVATIONS ARE OCCURRING MORE FREQUENT THAN BEFORE PURCHASE.CONSTANT PLAY WITH COMPUTER SYSTEM.

Dash board is cracking in multiple spots. Have contacted GMC multiple times over the years to get it fixed. GMC will not fix or replace even though I have been having the same problem since 2014-2015. New cracks keep appearing.
I, like thousands of other GMC owners have been frustrated to no end, having to deal with a cracked and highly unsafe vehicle dashboard. I own a 2011 GMC Yukon and my dashboard has cracked so bad, that it-??s not only aesthetically unappealing but it poses a grave danger to myself and all passengers inside. If I were to be involved in an accident and the airbag deploy, it would send shards of hard sharp plastic through our faces. You can imagine how much pressure would be behind those sharp pieces as they embed into someone-??s face. GMC owes it to its consumers to recall these dashboards and make it right. I feel GMC is intentionally and wrecklessly placing my family in danger by blatantly refusing to recall this obvious problem. As an American consumer, can you help me with this please? Thank you
Vehicle has a cracked dash in three places. One over speed odometer the other right at the air bag passenger another in middle. Vehicle is garage kept all year round.
I recently purchased a 2011 GMC Yukon from my parents. They are the original owners. This vehicle was kept under thier carport and not in direct sunlight. The dashboard has mulitple cracks. Most concerning is the cracks near the passenger side airbag. What if I were in an accident, the dashboard could become shrapnel impaling myself or my passenger. Also the defective dashboard could splinter and puncture the airbag making them ineffective. After researching this issue, there are numerous complaints and even lawsuits. I am appalled to know you and GMC are aware of the risks of the cracked dashboard causing great bodily harm or death. You and GMC have done nothing to remedy the problem. I have a 2002 Honda Accord that sits in the sun and the dashboard is in perfect condition.
The dashboard has severely cracked and could cause harmful plastic to shoot towards passenger if the airbag is deployed. This also causes the interior to make loud dash sounds while driving affecting the experience of the drive.
The dashboard is cracked from the drivers side to the passenger side in multiple places on top of and along side of the inner airbags and under a collision these pieces of the dash could and in my opinion and the opinion of GM body repairman will very likely become a flying projectile causing possible injury or death to occupants. I am requesting immediate replacement or repair of this unsafe situation before turning it over to council for recovery. Also be advised that all precautions were taken to protect the dashboard with use of windshield sun deflectors/shades.
My dash board has tow cracks and is ready to fall apart. One crack runs the full width of my dashboard and is directly above my speedometer and the other is just to the right of my glove box. Concerned that this could eventually cause issues with my speedometer and air bags. The crack above my speedometer started about 3 years ago and the other 2 years ago.
2 dash board cracks - believe cause is excessive vibration of dashboard due to poor design by GMC. One crack runs approx 5-6" directly above speedometer which could eventually affect the airbags and speedometer function. The second crack if on passenger side above glove compartment.
The dash board where the air bag is located cracked as well as the other side of the -dashboard near the instrument cluster. There are multiple reports online documenting the issue.
The upper dash panel cracked. There is a large crack in the curved portion of the dash above the steering wheel and gauges. The vehicle has not been subject to any extreme temperature changes - it is always parked inside a garage. I went to drive the vehicle after it had been sitting unused for about a week noticed the crack right away as it is very noticeable. Now, when driving there is a very audible rattling noise coming from the dash. Aside from this being aesthetically and audibly hideous, I am worried that this is a safety hazard. If the vehicle were to be involved in a crash the cracked pieces of the dash could more easily injure someone. I also fear the cracked pieces that are rattling inside the dash could puncture the airbags and render them useless in the event of a crash. This is a manufacturing flaw. This should not have happened under the circumstances and care this vehicle receives.
