I've been having issues with my Honda accord hybrid 2005 for the past year. There is a loud bass that come and goes. No one can detect the problem for one year now. I took it to 7 different mechanic shops and i also took it back to honda and no one can seem to find out what the problem is. The IMA light comes on and off when it feels like which is another issue. This car is the worst, if anyone have any feed back or answers please let me know because its ridiculous how much this car really sucks.....Thank you.

Accord Hybrid 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 88,000 miles

The noise is a low rumble that occurs at about 25, 40, and 55 mph. It has to be going at the speed for a while before it will do it. The last mechanic I took it to then put it in D3 and it didn't do it. I have been trying to figure out this problem for over 2 years. I have taken it to 5 different mechanics and often I could not make it make the noise, another said it was a resonant noise??? It doesn't make the noise with snow tires on and so I would think it was fixed until I put the other tires, or new tires on in the spring. Finally I got someone to figure it out and now it sounds like it is the transmission and now I am out of warranty.
