I had just had an oil change done because it consumed so much oil. I did the change on a regular basis and also had to keep adding oil a week after my last oil change because the engine started running rough and knocking.

Car was shaking, loss of power, could drive it over 15 miles per hour, Shut it off and turned it back on and it was fine. Took it to my mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with it.

H3 5

  • Manual transmission
  • 67,000 miles

My 2008 H3 67,000 miles started with engine light on a month ago. It went off. Noticed rough ride and hesitant to pick speed up. Light went off came back on took misfire 2. Replaced Coil, spark plug, did compression test low pressure, smoke coming out, replaced injectors. Still showing misfire 2. Shop stating seen carbon inside some part and need new engine, valves not leaking.

I called Hummer and all they said was take to GMC. They charge too much and I already have done all this at my mechanic. Any ideas, help? No warranty left, cannot afford to buy a new engine. Mechanic states if they send to machine shop and fix screws or springs down inside a temp fix? Is there a class action lawsuit on these defective engines from GMC
