The contact owns a 2009 Hummer H3. While driving approximately 70 mph, the hood louver detached from the hood and landed on the roadway. The vehicle was repaired by the dealer (Suburban Cadillac of troy, 1810 maplelawn dr, troy, mi 48084, (248) 643-0070) per NHTSA campaign number: 10V179000 (structure) in 2010. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where it was repaired again, but at the owner's expense. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,984.
