All 2011 Infiniti G37 models have this problem and presumably all prior to 2011 as it was corrected on 2012 models so that entire seat did not have to be replaced. I can imagine how many of owners of these are driving around with a $6,700 liability and don't know it. The first estimate was around $9,000 by the local Nissan dealer. I took to Infiniti dealer and they said the extra amounts were not necessary, the $6,700 was sufficient.

I had to have the problem fixed. Can you imagine my liability, if I wrecked and the passenger was severely injured or even killed.
