This is a hard problem to fix because not only can you not get the car out of park to get it to the dealer, the Jaguar repair shops are difficult to work with so you can get it there. Must be towed but you need someone who can find the park release switch so you need to take the cap of the column. It seems to be a common problem. There are many youtube videos about it. It's not the end of the world. Find a local shop to fix the solenoid as it will be dramatically cheaper than Jaguar's shop.
