We have bought the Defender Nov 2014 and now for the ninth time the starter breaks again. It start with that all lamps in the instrument panel are lit and a metal noise outside like gravel in a tin can.

We live on a farm in Sweden so we have to rely on good garages around the farm as the Land Rover dealer is too far away though we always put in an equivalent starter that is recommended by Land Rover that we find on the web.

I have no photos as we have always become a warranty but after 5 times we have to change garage as they cannot solve the problem but I have seen one of the damage starter the thrivewheel is completely chewed up though there are no noises when you drive.

Please Help!!

Kind Regards
