2005 Land Rover 3 tires have excessive wear, strong gasoline smell after filling up the vehicle, and fluid leaking from under vehicle. Mechanic determined there is no leak and vehicle was not included in the recall.
Failure of NHTSA campaign id number : 05V376000. Fuel tank recall. The fuel tank was replaced per recall but failure occurred. Vehicle would not start and several gallons of gas was dumped on the ground causing a fire hazard. Fire department responded. Fire department cleared vehicle to tow to dealer. Failure corrected - return gas hose from had become disconnected from fuel tank resulting in fuel spillage.
Consumer complaint concerning the fuel tank repairs on 2005 Land Rover LR3. When the consumer called the dealership regarding the recall, they told him they didn't have time for the repair and they would call him.
: the contact stated the fuel tank will not hold more than three quarters of fuel and the fuel gauge is inoperable. There is a NHTSA recall, #05V376000, on the vehicle regarding the fuel system gasoline storage. The parts needed to repair their vehicle are not available at their local dealership. The manufacturer confirmed the parts are not available and will not repair the fuel gauge until the recall parts are available.
