The contact owns a 2011 Land Rover LR4. The contact initially received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V635000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact was then informed by the dealer that the fuel system was defective and also needed to be serviced. While in their possession, the contact was informed that the parking brake module was damaged due to the dealer's mishandling of her vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 123,000.
The contact owns a 2011 Land Rover LR4. The contact heard a loud noise when attempting to remove the emergency brake to shift out of park. The emergency brake indicator illuminated. The vehicle was unable to be driven and was towed to Land Rover redwood city (440 convention way, redwood city, ca 94063, (650) 542-7956). The dealer diagnosed that there was a mechanical brake failure and the rear brakes and the emergency brake needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
