- Situation: One or more of the following issues may be present from the rear brake system: * A "roan", "drone", "honk", and/or "graunch" noise during light braking when reversing; most noticeable after an initial start in colder ambient temperatures * A high-pitched 'squeal' or 'squeak' noise during light braking at various speeds in both forward and reverse motion.
