While driving vehicle straight on a 2 lane road, suddenly had to swerve left to avoid a car coming out of a parking lot without looking - and without any warning the power steering totally failed - and I could not pull the heavy truck back into the lane - and almost had a head on collision!! more disturbing is the fact that upon inspection, Land Rover and the local dealer, Land Rover main line in pa, admitted this happened to another customer - but have no idea why this happened and can not assure that it is repaired!!! this is a dangerous issue! there may be other unsuspecting drivers on the road in 2011 range rovers who may have a head on collision if this happens to them because the wheel is very, very heavy to turn without the power assist steering - and - when not expecting that sudden loss of power assist - the recipe for danger is heightened!

While driving on highway at speed, the vehicle suffered a complete power failure. The headlights turned off, the engine shut down, the dashboard went dark, and the power steering failed causing me to swerve partially out of my lane (I was on a curve). The power then came back on and the vehicle resumed functioning normally.
