Having beginners write software is always fraught with issues. Equally questionable is a QC dept that waits for the customer to find problems. Maybe Lexus management doesn't drive this model. There are several indicators the developers were inexperienced. What is really annoying is after a year of griping, they think its easier to ignore it. This is not the ES model with navigation. That apparently has worse problems.
