Toyoto confirmed knowledge of problem with inferior dashboard of Lexus es350 2007. A recall which they are telling me now, they will no longer honor had been in effect: "January 21, 2015 -€" After years of complaints and recent lawsuits, Toyota has agreed to replace about 3.5 million dashboards that get sticky, cracked, shiny and melt in heat and humidity. Calling it a "Customer Support Program" - ZE6 - Toyota will extend dashboard warranty coverage on the following Toyota and Lexus vehicles." The PHOTO of my dashboard below, shows the cracks and chipping that has occurred over the years. If the air bag deploys fragments will be disbursed throughout my vehicle. I have two grandchildren that I drive to school each day and this is a very bad situation about to happen. I contacted the customer service numerous times and simply flat out said that they will not own responsibility.

I have had my Lexus since 2007 I have many times recieved letters for my recall on the air bags recall id rtpw-48Q I called and spoke with Lexus who then set up an account with me and then found me a location to have the recall fixed this was around October of 2018 since then I have had some troubling findings that I believe my husband at the time has possibly done things to my car that could potentially harm or kill not only me but my 6 year old I do no my dash has been removed and replaced and since iv seen my husband in his mechanic shop pull dashes off I no he is experienced I was also unexpectedly his on my driver's side about 9 months ago and the car sped off and I was told to not call the police but a state rd worker witnessed it what I need is for someone to help me I know these things are not manufactured problems besides the airbag please can you help me if recently found that my brakes seem to be not stopping as well and it sound like there bad however my brakes were done about a year ago by my husband and this happened over night please I need a honest person to look at my Lexus and see if alterations have been made and verify my recall my recall on Lexus website says my VIN is not correct for the recall

Lexus ES 350 2007 dashboard is melting and compromised. Due to the sticky mess the airbags will not deploy properly and death will likely occur. Very concerned about the toxicity of the dashboard as well. It's melting, changing color from black to white and cracking. This carcinogenic material is now poisoning all who ride in the vehicle. Included photo does not convey the glossy melting, sticky reality of it all. The glossy melting reflection causes lots of glare and impairs visibility on sunny days. This issue must be resolved before a life is taken needlessly. Lexus refuses to replace the dashboard even though they admit that its a compromised part and have deceptively allocated this safety issue as a warranty problem that has expired. Because my vehicle is seldom driven and garaged (69,717K miles) problem did not surface until now.

The contact owned a 2007 Lexus ES350. While driving at an unknown speed, another vehicle crashed into the front passenger side of the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact stated that the front seat passenger sustained a neck injury that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an unknown towing garage and deemed destroyed. The contact called hoffman Lexus at 860-525-3987; however, they could not determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 91,000.

I am asking for help on this situation it has been to long dealing with. I have a family of five and have not been able to use my vehicle to take my whole family anywhere for almost a year now. Any time I have a passenger I have to ask that they sit in the back seat. The dealership was supposed to contact me to determine airbag replacement date and provide a loaner car if they could not replace the airbag in a timely manner. I have not been able to get through to the dealership and have not received a return call. I feel I have been patient but this has become a burden on me and my family and I would like the airbag to be fixed as soon as possible so I can use my vehicle as a family car as intended.

Takata recall. We called Lexus of fife in November of 2017 when we received notification the airbag replacements were available. As of this date of January 21st 2018 we have not had a fix. When we called the first of the year we were told we we #51 on the list. We called again mid month and were told the same thing #51. There seems to be no sense of urgency to solve this issue. We are scheduled to drive to southern California for a wedding in mid February 2018 and I would like this issue resolved before we drive that far. If this is a deadly issue shouldn't it be a priority to solve it. While I understand Lexus of fife can't do free work all day there should be another option to fix this problem asap.

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus ES350. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was constantly illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (hendrick Toyota North charleston, 7151 rivers avenue, North charleston, SC 29406) where it was diagnosed that the ECU failed and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired, but the part did not calibrate with the computer software. The local dealer informed the contact that the parts were no longer available due to the age of the vehicle. The contact was instructed not to drive the vehicle due to the air bags not deploying in the event of a crash. The manufacturer was notified and confirmed the information provided by the local dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 41,379.

As of today November 22, 2017, my vehicle is still not being recall by the manufacturing to have replace the defect airbag. Also, my driver side backseat seatbelt is not hold on when latched in. I believe it is a safety that need to be fix. I am still using the vehicle for driving.
