When I bought this car from a 1 owner ( doctor ) it had 29,000 miles, in 2009 October. Right away started having problems. I bought warranty for 2yrs, kept telling them something was wrong. Got a lot of stuff fixed , but still having problems with the engine light coming on. The deal that they ran the other day said it was catalytic converter. But when the light goes off it does not register. I am a single 65yr old woman , and can have a undpendable car. Trying to see if there are recalls that I should look into.I replaced all the coils, battery, filter, changed oil , everything for a major tuneup, and still having trouble,It was stalling like going up a hill but not anymore. Transmission changes hard.
I have had this problem before my warranty expired. The dealership changed 3 different coils on three separate occasions and then the C.A.T. The problem remains and now my warranty is no longer valid and independent and dealership mechanics have no idea what the problem is.
This is the third time in three weeks! The are trying to fix it but they don't have a clue what it is! Now they are guess that it something electrical. This are Ford mechinals and Ford headquarters mechinals talking to each other and they don't know the problem.
I put new parts and a tune-up. Which they say it would fix the problem. It ran good for about a hour. I call them back! This is one hour after I got my car. They don't KNOW what the problem is!!!!!!!!!!
